The 10 Best Vietnamese Avocado Desserts To Try

In Vietnamese culture, they frequently (almost exclusively) use avocados in their dessert recipes. In fact, many Asian and Portuguese-speaking countries use avocado to make smoothies, ice cream, and other sweet treats. My very own Filipino parents taught me how to snack on avocados by scooping pieces into a bowl and mixing it with some sugar, evaporated milk, and crushed ice. It was the perfect treat on a hot day for me!

We are going to explore some of the best Vietnamese avocado desserts and I promise you, you’ll never go back!

We will be looking at the best 10 Vietnamese avocado desserts that you just have to try. I have categorized them into smoothies/shakes, ice creams and other desserts, just in case you’re in the mood for something specific.

Smoothies/Shakes

Smoothies/Shakes

The Vietnamese dessert smoothie including avocado is called Sinh Tố Bơ. Each of these recipes are various takes on the Vietnamese Sinh Tố Bơ. This drink is a sweet one made with ripe avocados, milk and condensed milk.

Think of Sinh Tố Bơ like an avocado frappuccino. It is sweet, delicious and is halfway between a drink and dessert. That’s exactly what these recipes have to offer.

Now, you may be feeling hesitant about putting avocado into your sweet shakes. You may be worried that this is the new kale craze, and we all know those don't taste great in desserts, unless hidden.

But, let the sweetness of the condensed milk in these recipes sway you. The freshness of the avocado mixed with the condensed milk is an instant winner for liquid desserts.
